Tiger Stitch-a-Long, part 4

Hello everyone! I hope you had a merry Christmas. We're enjoying our Boxing Day with ghost stories on the BBC, mince pies, and eggnog. Oh, and some stitching of course!

I had turned my attention back to mister tiger. Here's where he was when I left off.

I had hoped to finish up the leaves and the background in the center section... and I did!

Filling in the background was the perfect mindless stitching I needed as a distraction from work. I recently changed teams and managers (unexpectedly), and my new manager has very different ways of working. So it's been a little rough. Still, I know that I'm lucky to still be working, and when we finish the 2021 budgeting and planning I think things will be less hectic. At least I hope so!

And speaking of 2021, I plan on kicking off the year by working on the bottom row of this piece. I'll roll the canvas, stitch the bushes, and then start on the background. We'll see how much progress I make when we check in next time, on January 17.

Till then, please check out the projects by my fellow stitch-a-long stitchers. Every piece is so different and so interesting -- they inspire me every time!

    1. Thanks Renee! It was a very nice distraction to have. The lower part requires some counting, so I think it will be much slower.

    1. Thanks Connie! I love how rich the colors are. It's amazing that just blending two colors of wool on the background give it so much texture. Happy New Year to you, too!

    1. Thanks Avis! The bands at the top and bottom are relatively narrow, though they'll go more slowly as I'll need to focus and count :)

  7. Sorry I wasn't able to join in with your happy dancing over the completion of the Christmas banner. It's so cute! Too bad about the stress at work; hopefully that will indeed improve as the new year wears on. Hurray for mindless needlepoint! I've done a fair bit myself lately. (Not featured in my SAL post, but in the previous post or two.) Here's to better days in the new year all around!

  9. Let's hear it for mindless stitching! I could use a little of that right now. You have a good attitude about your work. Maybe you just need a little more time to get used to your new boss.
