Tiger Stitch-a-Long, part 4

Hello everyone! I hope you had a merry Christmas. We're enjoying our Boxing Day with ghost stories on the BBC, mince pies, and eggnog. Oh, and some stitching of course!

I had turned my attention back to mister tiger. Here's where he was when I left off.

I had hoped to finish up the leaves and the background in the center section... and I did!

Filling in the background was the perfect mindless stitching I needed as a distraction from work. I recently changed teams and managers (unexpectedly), and my new manager has very different ways of working. So it's been a little rough. Still, I know that I'm lucky to still be working, and when we finish the 2021 budgeting and planning I think things will be less hectic. At least I hope so!

And speaking of 2021, I plan on kicking off the year by working on the bottom row of this piece. I'll roll the canvas, stitch the bushes, and then start on the background. We'll see how much progress I make when we check in next time, on January 17.

Till then, please check out the projects by my fellow stitch-a-long stitchers. Every piece is so different and so interesting -- they inspire me every time!

Seasonal Stitch-a-Long - COMPLETE!

Hi everyone! How can it be DECEMBER already??? This year has been so strange, but I hope all of you are safe and healthy.

I'm not gonna lie -- I spent a good part of the day, including our weekly calls with my mom and Wil's parents, desperately stitching on the Christmas banner. It took me a very, very long time to get up steam on this project, but then I got into the Christmas spirit and went from this:

To this!

I love these old felt and sequin kits -- this one is dated 1977. Because, well, rick-rack! Happy (Holiday) Dance!!!!

With that wrapped up (just in time!), I'm going to turn my attention back to mister tiger. There's a lot of background to fill into the center section, so I hope to get through that by our next check in, on December 27. Till then I wish you all a very happy Hanukkah, merry Christmas, and a joyous Boxing Day.

The other stitchers in this stitch-a-long all make beautiful and very different projects. So definitely check out their blogs to see what they're working on.
